Sumter Disaster Animal Response Team has helped the ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and Humane Society International this year to move many animals to safety.
We have transported dogs from Puppy Mills, and dogs and cats from the Tornado stricken areas in Tuscaloosa, Al and Joplin, Mo. Earlier this year we responded also to get animals out of the path of the Floods from the Mississippi River.
After the devestating earthquake in Japan we sent Connie Brooks to assist the Humane Society International's efforts on the ground.
