The Sumter Disaster Animal Response Team, HSUS and the ASPCA, worked together to rescue 46 American Pit Bulls from two fighters busted in Alabama.

Chris Schindler, from HSUS, contacted our team to have us load and transport the dogs to safety after the raids. Dr. Merck, from the ASPCA, provided immediate medical care and health evaluations on each animal prior to loading the dogs onto our trailer. The dogs were numbered and a record was kept on each individual dog.

Look at the malformed leg on this poor guy. Due to a lack of veterinary care after the fight, this poor dog's broken leg never healed correctly. I wonder how this fighter would feel if we broke his leg and just left him to heal on his own while tied to a chain and given no pain meds?
This sweet girl just wanted to be loved. Look how attentive her eyes are. She followed me with hers eyes everywhere I went and would smash up against the kennel just to be touched. Why would anyone do this?
Lori, from HSUS stopped long enough to make this guys day. She had to hold him to keep him from landing in her lap and knocking her off of balance. Tail wagging and just absorbing the affection. No water or food was near this guy. Just chained up to an axle pounded into the ground.

PLEASE DONATE SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO HELP THEM.
