Volunteering for Sumter DARTVolunteering

Volunteers are the single thing we need the most. Without them, we could not help any animal. We need people who want to stay in our compound at a disaster to do the following jobs:

1. Running the Compound. This job requires leadership and the ability to get others motivated in tough times.
2. Animal Intake. This job means working with the paperwork to properly intake every animal.
3. Animal Handling. This job will see you walking, feeding, and watering the animals and cleaning up kennels.
4. Driving. This requires at least a Class D license and will involve pulling trailers in and out of disaster areas.
5. General Response. May be needed at a moment’s notice to respond to hoarding cases, abuse cases, disasters.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us with grant writing and Web design. If you have experience in either of these areas and would like to donate your time and talent, please contact us.

If you are interested in becoming a Sumter DART member or volunteer, please e-mail ronnie@sumterdart.org. Type "Sumter DART" in the subject line.
